Self-Guided Tours

Create your own field trip adventure! Self-guided tours give you and your students access to all of the historic areas allowing you to cover a variety of Indiana academic standards, including social studies, language arts, math and science. Students will explore and engage in history bringing the past to life in ways a textbook cannot. Reservations required.

Who: Grades K–12 
Dates: April: Thurs.–Sat.
May-October: Tues.–Sat.
Times: 9:30 am–2:30 pm
Groups scheduled every 15 minutes.
Length: 3 to 4 hours recommended for a complete experience
Cost: $4.50/student; $8.00/adult chaperone
Teachers and school staff get in free.

Special Interest

Spark your students' imaginations with a program tailored just for their age group. Immerse them in the lives of the Lenape Indians or pioneer settlers where they will touch and feel history with their own hands. Reservations required.

Cost:
$4.50/student (One adult free with every five students; $4.50/additional adult)
Pre-payment is required.
Add a Self-Guided Tour for just $3/student and $7.50/additional adult.

Find out how early Indiana settlers prepare for winter! Visit a log cabin and learn how they harvest and transport crops and how they use sheep’s wool to stay warm. Grind corn, string apples and play fun pioneer games!

Woodland-Indian-Adventure
Woodland Indian Adventure

Date: Nov 2, 2010

Experience life of the Woodland Indians firsthand. Duck into a traditional Lenape Indian wigwam made of bark or cattail leaf mats. Then visit the trading post and strike a deal with the owner. Play Native American games and help grind corn.

Gingerbread-Jamboree
Gingerbread Jamboree

Dates: Select Tues.-Thurs.
November 30 - December 2
December 7, 8, 9, 14 & 15, 2010

Run, run as fast as you can! The cook is making a fresh batch of gingerbread, but her prized cookie has run away! Go on a hunt around Conner Prairie looking for hints and footprints from the missing cookie. Meet the Gingerbread Man, enjoy a gingerbread man cookie and visit Gingerbread Village.
