The Apple Store, open in the fall since 1984, will be offering all our traditional tasty treats throughout September and October:
- Hand-dipped caramel apples
- Cider slushies
- Apple and pumpkin donuts
- Popcorn
- Pasteurized apple cider
- Mulitple variety of apples from local orchards
- Jams and jellies
- Apple pies
- Amish goods
- Gourmet dog treats
- Special gift items
- Handmade fire pit pokers by Conner Prairie blacksmiths
- Special order gourmet caramel apples, upon request
- We will also feature new items from Local Folks Foods and Crown Point Graphics, all produced in Hamilton County.
Last year, the ladies of the Alliance dipped more than 14,000 caramel apples - make sure you get your share this year! And see our featured recipes below all season long for ideas for all those apples and apple treats!
Admission to Conner Prairie is not required to visit the Apple Store.

Featured Recipe:
Apple Butter Coffee Cake
Oven temp 350
2¼ cups biscuit baking mix
1 cup apple butter (or more, for more intense flavor)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons sugar
Topping:
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
3 tablepoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Mix all topping ingredients
Mix baking mix, apple butter, eggs and sugar; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Spread in greased round 8" pan (or 8" square pan). Sprinkle with topping. Bake for 25 minutes. Serve warm. 8 servings.
