Clay Play

Learn to be a potter! Use clay to make your very own coil pot. See an expert at work while a Conner Prairie potter spins a pot.
Gracious Groundhog

Did the groundhog see his shadow? Learn about this tradition and how groundhogs and other animals survive the cold weather. Make shadow puppets and look for animal tracks outside (weather permitting).
Valentine's Day Party

Love is in the air! Make a fancy, 1886-style Victorian Valentine for someone special and decorate a festive, heart-shaped cookie.
Merry March Music

Try playing cool, historic instruments then make your own kazoo and drum. Play your handmade instruments and march in the St. Patrick’s Day parade around the Museum Center.
Fly A Kite

Make and decorate a kite and other paper toys that fly. Take your creation for a flight outside (weather permitting). Plus, see 1800s-era kites close up.

How do birds make their nests? Learn about the process then try to make your own. Take a hike to look for Conner Prairie nests (weather permitting).
Welcome to Spring

Find signs of spring during a scavenger hunt outside (weather permitting). Take part in some spring games including playing with bubbles.
"Eggs"cellent Adventure

Learn about the tradition of giving Easter eggs. Do an egg craft, then decorate a basket and search for Easter eggs to put in it.
Wool Wonders

Visit the sheep in the Animal Encounters Barn and learn the process of spinning wool into yarn. Then watch Conner Prairie textile experts spin, weave and dye wool.
How Does Your Garden Grow?

Visit the beautiful Conner garden and look for different seeds and flowers. Then make a special craft and surprise Mom for Mother’s Day!
Chickens in Charge

Visit the chicken coop in Liberty Corner and find out where they hide their eggs. Come inside and make a chicken craft and do the chicken dance too!
Frogs are Calling

Create a paper frog and listen to different frog calls. Visit the pond under the covered bridge to look for tadpoles and play leap frog in the grass (weather permitting).
Barn Buddies

Visit the Animal Encounters Barn and see what baby animals are living there. Meet and pet the babies and their moms. Then head to Featherston Barn for music and barn dancing.
Carpenters and Cabins

Find out about carpentry and the making of log cabins. Then make your own miniature log cabin to take home. Visit a log cabin on the Conner Prairie grounds (weather permitting). Make a special craft to surprise Dad for Father’s Day!
This Little Pig

Visit the Conner Prairie pig pen in Liberty Corner. Feed the pigs and learn why they play in the mud. Sing pig songs, play with pig puppets and make a pig craft!
Patriotic Party

Come to the best Fourth of July birthday bash around! Play patriotic games, make a festive Fourth hat, dance, make bubbles and have a red, white and blue snack!
Cow EnCOWnters

Help churn butter then taste the final homemade product. Visit one of the Conner Prairie cows in the pasture then come inside to make a cow craft.
Summertime Fun

Celebrate the season of summer! Join in tons of exciting outside activities like bubbles, an obstacle course and pretend fishing. Then cool off with water games and a snack.
Wagons Ho!

The wheels on the wagon go 'round and 'round as we hear a tale of pioneers moving west. Sing old songs and take a wagon ride (weather permitting).
Big as an Ox

How big are oxen? Find out when you visit Conner Prairie's oxen, Red and Blue. Help the oxen do their work by filling the cart with wood.
Teddy Bear Picnic

Bring your teddy bear out to enjoy the sun. Decorate a frame then get a picture taken of you and your teddy bear to put in the frame. Join in fun, historic games outside.
Tykes Fair

Join in your very own Tykes' fair! Bring your favorite stuffed animal for our stuffed animal contest where everyone gets a ribbon! Visit some Conner Prairie animals and vote for your favorite. Then read a story about a fair and play games.
Horsin' Around

Find out about this magnificent animal. Create a horse craft and read a horse story then visit the horses in Liberty Corner. You can even help brush them!
Apples, Apples, Apples

Take part in apple activities, create an apple craft and enjoy a delicious apple treat. Then, take a hayride to the apple orchard and look for fruit (weather permitting).
Pumpkin Patch Parade

Find a pumpkin in our garden, sample roasted pumpkin seeds and decorate your own craft pumpkin to take home.
Raggedy Scarecrows

Learn about the job of scarecrows and how they protect the crops. Visit the scarecrow garden then make your own small scarecrow to take home.
Halloween Party

Wear your favorite costume and celebrate Halloween. Listen to a Halloween story, make a scary craft, play spooky games and dance the morning away.
Happy Harvest

Celebrate harvest-time! Grind corn, string apples, have a cornbread snack and learn about pioneer foods. Then make a Thanksgiving craft to take home to decorate for harvest-time.
Indiana Indians

Celebrate Lenape Indian culture by learning about wigwams and Lenape clothing. Make your own drum then listen to songs and drumming in the Lenape Camp.
Gingerbread Jamboree

Find out how gingerbread is made, listen to the gingerbread man story, decorate a gingerbread man cookie and meet the gingerbread man.
