Prairie Tykes Ages 2-5
Prairie Tykes is custom made for little ones and parents or grandparents! Connect one-on-one while you decorate crafts, dance, sing and take part in the special activity of the day. Sign up for one class or the whole series!
Ages 2–5. Children must be accompanied by an adult (at no charge).
$11/member youth ($12/non-member youth)
9:30–11 am and 12:30-2 pm on select Fridays.

Come meet our balloon pilot and visit the 1859 Balloon Voyage. We will make a balloon craft too.
Carpenters and Cabins

Find out about carpentry and making log cabins. Make a miniature log cabin to take home and visit a log cabin on our grounds (weather permitting). We’ll even make a log cabin snack! We’ll make a craft especially for Dad.
Frogs are Calling

Find out about frogs as we create a paper frog and listen to some different frog calls. Weather permitting, we will visit the pond under the covered bridge to look for frogs and we’ll play some leap frog.
Patriotic Party

The wheels on the wagon go ‘round and ‘round as we hear a tale of pioneers moving west. Sing old songs and, weather permitting, we will take a wagon ride.

Create a cow craft and make and taste some butter. Then visit one of our cows out on the grounds.
Teddy Bear Picnic

Bring your teddy bear out to enjoy the sun. Decorate a frame, and we’ll take a picture of you and your teddy bear to bring home. We will also play historic games.
