Hearthside Suppers*

January 3-March 22; (Fridays-Sundays), 6-9 pm

Experience an authentic and intimate dinner in the Conner House, central Indiana’s first brick home. Help with preparations by the hearth, sip on hot cider and indulge in a delicious multi-course meal. Everything from the menu, created from early 19th-century receipts, to the costumed hosts will take you on a journey to Indiana’s past.

Follow the North Star*

Friday & Saturday evenings, April 3-4, 17-18, 24-25 & November 5-7, 12-14, 19-21; 7:30-8:30 pm

Become a fugitive slave on the Underground Railroad, running from captivity, risking everything for freedom. Will you find safety? Will you be captured by slave hunters? Every moment is filled with uncertainty, with new twists all along the way. As you live through one of the most compelling periods in Indiana history, this powerful and interactive glimpse into our shared past will affect you in ways that reading a book or watching a movie about it cannot.

Civil War Days

Saturday, May 16; 10 am-5 pm

Sunday, May 17; 11 am-5 pm

One weekend only, Conner Prairie transforms into a Civil War battleground. The historic areas become Union and Confederate Camps, the field is made into a battleground and the woods are converted into ideal hiding spots for soldiers. Reenactors from across the country bring the 1860s to life so you can discuss battle tactics with soldiers, march in their infantry, sit around their campfires and witness a battle complete with cannons, horses and guns.

1859 Balloon Voyage Grand Opening

Saturday, June 6; 10 am-5 pm

Discover one of the earliest chapters of aviation history at Conner Prairie’s newest historic experience, 1859 Balloon Voyage. Experiment with the science and technology of ballooning, or be transported back to a recreated 1859 Lafayette town square on the day John Wise launched his balloon. Then soar 350 feet above the landscape in a tethered, helium-filled balloon and see the world like John Wise did!

Indiana Festival

Saturday, June 6; 9 am-6 pm

Sunday, June 7; 10 am-6 pm

Immerse yourself in the dance, music, food and art of Indiana’s diverse cultures. Bring your family and learn about your heritage. Listen to live music performances, watch detailed dance routines and try a mix of ethnic foods.

Adventure & Art Summer Day Camps*

Mondays-Fridays, June 8-July 31; 8:30 am-3:30 pm (early arrival and late pick-up offered)

Explore your inner adventurer or budding artist! At Conner Prairie camps you’ll make new and lasting friendships, try challenging activities outdoors and make unforgettable memories. Sign your child up today and make this a summer they’ll never forget.

Glorious Fourth

Celebrate the Nation’s birthday with a colorful red, white and blue party for the entire family. Help decorate Prairietown, march with the militia, taste homemade ice cream and join in the fun on the historic baseball field. In the true spirit of the holiday, help us honor our country with the presentation of the flag and recognition of war veterans.

Country Fair

Saturday, September 19; 10 am-5 pm

Sunday, September 20; 11 am-5 pm

Bring the whole family for a celebration of Indiana’s farm heritage! Head to the re-created 1886 agricultural fair to see the area’s largest hog, visit the zany Tent of Wonders, play a game of historic baseball or taste test delicious homemade pies. Then watch an antique tractor parade to see how tractors have changed through the years. Grind corn, meet the animals, participate in agricultural equipment demonstrations, sample heirloom apples and enjoy festival foods and music.

Headless Horseman

October 16 & 17, 21-25 & 28-30; gates open 6:30-9 pm

Your family’s favorite fall festivity is back with even more spooky scares! Huddle close on a haunted hayride keeping your eyes open for skeletons, witches and ghosts trying to warn you about the infamous Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow. Stay for ghoulish ghost stories around the campfire, live music, s’mores, Halloween crafts and frightfully fun entertainment for the entire family. Fill up on caramel apples, apple cider, kettle corn and other delicious fall foods.

Wed., Thurs. & Sun.: $7 presale, $9 at the gate; Fri. & Sat.: $11 presale, $13 at the gate;

Basic level members free on Wed., Thurs. & Sun.; Plus level members and higher free every night.

Gingerbread Village

Start a new family tradition this holiday season! Stroll through a wonderland of icing, gumdrops and sprinkles atop remarkable gingerbread creations. From castles and monuments to baseball diamonds and under-the-sea scenes, amateurs and professionals alike display their handiwork. These colorful creations will amaze you and tempt your taste buds! Includes admission to Discovery Station, Conner Prairie’s indoor play and learning area for toddlers and up.
