It takes a prairie to raise a Gingerbread Village – that and the persistent requests of the guests! Conner Prairie has reconstructed the Gingerbread Village with the help of talented professional bakers, pastry chefs and non-professional bakers. All entrants will be judged privately and the first, second and third place winners will be awarded cash prizes! See a festive display of gingerbread houses, churches and historic buildings with intricate designs and colorful trimmings! Kids can slide down our Snow Mountain, try on gingerbread costumes, make ornaments and take in a holiday movie! Experience the sights and scents of the holidays and learn about the history of gingerbread as you explore Conner Prairie’s gallery filled with scrumptious gingerbread creations! Free with general admission of $3 per person, free for members!

The Museum Center will be decked out in the holiday’s finest and the Eatery will offer a delicious luncheon menu from 11:00am-3:00pm each day. Delight your friends and families with distinctive gifts for all ages and tastes from the Museum Shop. Choose from old fashion candies, soups, mixes, books, or toys and create a unique basket for family or corporate gifts. UPS available. And don’t miss Conner Prairie’s special guest, Bill Hixson, holiday decorator for the White House for the last five presidents, as he returns to the Museum Shop December 2 from 9:30 am-5 pm. Mr. Christmas will sign his famous ornaments and show the latest in his collection.
